Meghan Markle has RECEIPTS in lawsuit against tabloids

Meghan Markle may be a princess, but she’s not to be messed with.

The royal is currently suing the Mail on Sunday and its parent company, Associated Papers, for running “untrue” stories and accusing them of attempting to portray her negatively.

In legal documents filed by her legal team on November 11, she provides several receipts proving that elements of the tabloid stories about her wedding, her baby shower, her home, and her father are BS.

For example, the documents submitted to the High Court prove that the renovations to Frogmore Cottage did not include a  $6,500 copper bathtub, $650,000 of aircraft soundproofing, a self-contained yoga studio, orangery or tennis court as tabloids reported.

She also shut down reports that the home featured a “guest wing” for her mom, Doria Ragland. 

The documents also claim that the outlet took lots of liberties when they published a personal letter she wrote to her father.

“The omitted or suppressed parts of the letter amount to almost half of the actual contents,” says the court paper.

“The omitted parts demonstrate the claimant’s care for her father and others, as well as her concern about the UK tabloid media exploiting her father.”

According to the documents, the tabloid rumors that suggest Meghan Markle did not attempt to help her father with his health issues or medical expenses are also false. The legal team insists that Meghan “has a long history of looking after her father’s welfare and trying to find solutions to any health problems.”

Another point of contention includes stories that said Meghan Markle did not invite her own mother to her NYC baby shower in April, calling the rumors “untrue and offensive” to the duchess.

“The claimant’s mother was of course invited, and the claimant also offered to buy her airline tickets. However, her mother was unable to attend due to work commitments.”

They also slammed reports that the baby shower was just a star-studded affair that didn’t include Meghan’s real friends.

“The baby shower (which actually cost a tiny fraction of the $300k falsely stated in the article) was organized and hosted by one of her best friends from university,” say the court papers. “The fifteen guests who attended the shower were close friends and included long-term friendships some of which had existed for over 20 years.”
