RHOA star Kandi Burruss’ new baby, Blaze, makes her social media debut

Just a few days old, Baby Blaze is already the apple in her family’s eyes.

On Nov. 22, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss, 43, and her husband, Todd Tucker, welcomed Blaze Tucker via surrogate to the family. Over the weekend, the couple shared a few adorable pictures of the infant on social media, according to PEOPLE.

“Our little angel is doing well! She was born yesterday 11-22-19 at 6:54pm. 8lbs & 1oz! Her name is Blaze Tucker. Thank you to everyone for the love & well wishes! She’s gonna Blaze a path to greatness! @blazetucker is our newest heartbeat,” Kandi wrote in an Instagram post of one photo of Blaze gripping a family member’s finger.

We swooned at another photo the Bravo star shared of three-year-old Ace holding his little sis, under the caption: “I promise to protect you @blazetucker!”

Burruss and Tucker are parents to Blaze and Ace. Both also had other kids by previous relationships. Burruss has a 17-year-old daughter named Riley and Tucker has a 22-year old daughter named Kaela.

In September, Burruss revealed she and Tucker were expecting another child, but this one would be via surrogacy. The pregnancy initially began as twins, however, sadly one embryo wasn’t successful. The ordeal was included in the RHOA season 12.

“We actually was supposed to be having twins, and then one of them didn’t continue,” Burruss said, according to PEOPLE. “I was sad at first, but then I just had to be grateful that the one made it.”

In an earlier fall interview with Busy Tonight, Burruss also discussed how tough it was initially to sway Todd to consider surrogacy.

“The African American community, we’re not as open about stuff like that,” she said. “So we don’t have as many people who are sharing their experience. It’s not like I had a lot of friends who I could say [to him], “Oh yeah, they did this.”
